Privacy Policy

We collect only what we need to run the marketplace, we never sell your personal information, and your contact details stay private until you choose to connect with someone. You can delete your account and your data at any time.

We collect the information you give us: your name, email, and phone number; the details you add about your place if you are an owner, or about your search if you are a renter; the photos you upload; and the messages you send through the app. To verify owners, we may collect an identity document and a selfie, and we check public property records.

We also collect basic technical data your device sends automatically, such as app version and a device identifier, to keep the service working and secure.

We use your information to run the marketplace, match owners and renters, verify owners, enable messaging, prevent fraud and abuse, and keep the community safe. We use your email and phone to send you account and listing notifications related to your activity.

We do not sell your personal information. Your name and contact details are not shown to other users until you choose to connect. We use a small number of trusted service providers to operate the app (for example, cloud hosting, identity verification, and payment processing), and they may only process your data to provide their service to us.

Identity documents and selfies used for verification are processed to confirm an owner is a real person and are not shown to other users. We retain only what we need to keep the verified status valid and to meet our legal obligations.

You can delete your account at any time from the Account tab in the app. Deleting your account removes your profile, listings, and associated personal data from the marketplace. If you would rather we handle it for you, email hello@casita.app and we will delete your data.

Casita is for adults. It is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
